How to Remove Icons From Shell32.dll

1. Download a Shell32.dll removal tool, such as IconsExtract, Resource Extractor or Microangelo Toolset (see Resources). Install the removal tool to your computer. Make sure you choose your computer's 'C:' drive to install your removal tool's program files into.
2. Click the 'Start' menu icon in the bottom left of your desktop. Click 'All Programs,' scroll down to your Shell32.dll removal tool program and click it to open it. An 'untitled' screen now appears. Leave your program running.
3. Click the 'Start' menu and type 'shell32.dll' into the search bar. Wait for your search results to display. Find your 'shell32.dll' extension and click and drag it onto your desktop.
4. Click and drag your 'shell32.dll' document from your desktop to your program's 'untitled' screen. All of your 'shell32.dll' icons will now display on your 'untitled' screen.
5. Select the 'shell32.dll' icons you want to delete under your program's 'untitled' screen by clicking them. Drag them to your computer's 'Recycle Bin' on your desktop. Delete them by right-clicking your 'Recycle Bin' and clicking 'Empty Recycle Bin.' Click 'Yes' when prompted by your computer's 'Delete File' window to delete the icons from your computer.
