How to Clean Active X Files

Removing ActiveX Files
1. Open Internet Explorer and select "Tools" from the menu.
2. Select "Downloaded ActiveX Controls" from the drop-down menu under “Manage Add-ons." You will then see a list of ActiveX files that were installed to Internet Explorer. If there is a specific ActiveX control file you would like to remove, it will be within the list.
3. Select the ActiveX control file you would like to delete and select “Delete" at the bottom of the window. Click "OK."
4. Close and reopen Internet Explorer.
Remove ActiveX
5. Remove the ActiveX program altogether if removing the ActiveX files did not resolve your issue. Close Internet Explorer.
6. Click your desktop's "Start" menu, "Control Panel" and "Add or remove programs."
7. Locate the ActiveX control program and select "Remove."
8. Reopen Internet Explorer to see if the changes took effect. In some cases you might want to reboot your computer, though this may not be necessary.
