How to Enable ActiveX for Windows Updates

1. Double-click the Internet Explorer shortcut on your desktop to open the browser.
2. Click on 'Tools' in the menu bar and click 'Internet Options' in the drop-down menu. This will cause the 'Internet Options' menu to launch as a separate pop-up box.
3. Click the 'Security' tab in the 'Internet Options' menu and click 'Custom Level'.
4. Scroll down to 'ActiveX Controls' and click 'Enable' next to all the 'ActiveX' options.
5. Click 'Apply' to save the changes, and close Internet Explorer. You can now access Windows Updates.
