How to Troubleshoot a Lexar SD Card that Says Memory Card Error

1. Turn your digital camera off and remove the Lexar SD card from the memory card slot. Gently wipe the metal receptors on the back of the card with a soft, dry cloth. Then blow softly on the back of the memory card to remove any dust that may have been dislodged but not wiped off by the cloth. Memory card errors can often be caused by dust or other small particles becoming lodged in the receptacles of the SD card, hindering data transfer between the camera and the memory card. Replace the SD card back into your camera, then turn on the camera. If the memory card error persists, dust must not have been the problem.
2. Go to the main menu on your camera. Most cameras have a 'Menu' button on the back of the camera below or to the right of the LCD screen. From there find the setup menu or options menu, depending on your camera make and model. Find the 'Format Memory Card' menu option and select it. Your camera may ask for a confirmation before continuing the formatting process. If so, select 'OK.' If the memory card finishes formatting without any stops or problems, the camera should now recognize the memory card when in photo mode. If not, you may have to use a computer to try to format the memory card.
3. Turn off your camera and remove the memory card again. Insert it into an SD card reader, and insert the reader into any USB port in your computer. After the computer has recognized the drive, go to 'My Computer.' Right-click on the lettered drive that corresponds to your memory card; for example, the drive might be named 'Removable Disk (G:).' Be very sure that you know which is the correct drive, as you do not wish to reformat your computer's hard drive by mistake. Right-click on the correct drive and, in the right-click menu that pops out, click 'Format.' The computer may take some time formatting the card. When it has finished, safely remove the SD card reader from your computer and insert your SD card back into your camera.
4. Send your SD card to a Lexar repair store if the memory card error persists. If your memory card is under warranty, the company will repair and return your card without any additional charge. However, if your warranty has expired, buying a new memory card may be cheaper and less trouble than repairing the old one. The cost to repair corrupted SD cards can often be much higher than the cost of buying a brand new card.

How to Find and Replace a Missing or Damaged DLL File

1. Open a Web browser on your computer, then point your browser to a DLL browsing, search and download site such as DLL-Downloads, afreeDLL or DLL-files.
2. Search the website for the specific DLL file(s) you need. You can search using a variety of methods, such as typing in the name of the DLL file completely or viewing DLLs by categories that are organized by how the file name starts.
3. Download the file and any additional files attached with it to your computer. Many may come with instructions or something else that will assist you with installing the file and putting it in its appropriate locations. In some cases the directions will be on the site itself as you download the file, so keep the pages open just in case.
4. Install the DLL or place it in the folder where it belongs. If you are replacing a broken DLL, replace the file that currently exists. As each DLL is different, its installation process may vary, so consult the specific instructions before moving too far ahead.
5. Test the DLL installation by attempting to recreate any errors you experienced before, such as by running a program or process that resulted in the error messages. If done correctly, there should be no more errors. If the error came as a result of multiple DLL errors, you may need to repeat the above process for more than one file.

How to Troubleshoot an Adobe Runtime Error

1. Close other programs you are running at the same time. These programs take up RAM and slow down your Adobe software. Most Adobe programs need a good deal of RAM, so when the RAM runs out your program shuts down and a Runtime Error message appears.
2. Free up space on your hard drive. You often need several hundred megabytes of space on your hard drive just to run the program smoothly. If your hard drive is almost completely full, delete some programs and files. Click the 'Start' button, followed by 'Control Panel.' Select 'Add or Remove Programs' ('Programs' in newer versions of Windows), click a program you no longer use, choose 'Delete' and the program is deleted from your hard drive, clearing room for the Adobe software to run smoother.
3. Run an anti-virus software scan. Sometimes a virus or malware on your system can cause the Runtime Error. Running a full system scan can catch the virus and remove it. You can purchase a complete virus software such as Norton or McAfee, or download one for free from CNET.com or PCWorld.com. Launch the software (it is either found on the desktop or on the 'Start' menu), select the 'C:' drive as the area you want to scan, then click 'Full Scan' (or just 'Scan'). The software scans the computer for any viruses or malware. Once complete select 'Remove All' and all of the infected files are removed from your computer.
4. Close your Adobe program, power down the computer, then restart the computer and launch the software. Sometimes the program can boot incorrectly and cause Runtime Errors while in use.

How to Get the TV to Get Off the ATamp;T U

1. Wait for at least an hour if the television displays a gear cog-like icon on the U-verse screen. It's likely software being downloaded to the U-verse box. You can verify that the cog is related to U-verse by pressing the 'Input' or 'Source' button on your television remote until another source, like a DVD player, is displayed.
2. Unplug the U-verse box if the cog remains on the screen for longer than an hour. Wait two minutes and plug the U-verse box back into the wall outlet. Check the screen again. The U-verse cog should be gone and normal programming should be available.
3. Unplug the U-verse box, wait two minutes and plug it back in again if you see a red 'X' and a message saying 'Client Initialization Error' or 'Diagnostic Info' on the screen when trying to view U-verse. These are communication errors that mean the system is having problems obtaining a stream.
4. Unplug the residential gateway, wait two minutes and plug it back in again if you continue to have error-based screen messages and want to get off them and return to programming. The residential gateway is distinct from the U-verse box and is the element managing the Internet traffic.
