How to Fix Shell32.dll Errors


1. Click the Windows 'Start' button and click 'Run' or 'Start Search' (Windows Vista users).
2. Type 'regedit' (without quotes) and press 'Enter' to open the registry window.
3. Click the 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER' folder on the left panel and click 'Software.' Click 'Microsoft' and click 'Internet Explorer.' Click the 'Main' subkey.' Make a backup of the Main subkey by clicking the 'File' button on the top panel and clicking 'Export.'
4. Select a location to save the backup and type a name for it in the 'File name' box. Click 'Save' to back up the Main subkey.
5. Delete the 'Search Bar' value from the Main subkey after completing the backup.

6. Click the Windows 'Start' button and click 'Run' or 'Start Search' (Windows Vista users).
7. Type 'regedit' (without quotes) and press 'Enter' to open the registry.
8. Click the 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER' folder on the left panel and click 'Software.' Click 'Microsoft', then click 'Windows.' Click 'CurrentVersion' and click 'Explorer.' Click the 'StreamMRU' and click 'File.' Click 'Export.' Type in a name for the backup and click 'Save.'
9. Delete all the values included in the 'StreamMRU' subkey. Close the registry.
