How to Restore Rundll32 to Registry

1. Scan your computer's registry using the antivirus software on your computer. To scan in most antivirus programs, click the icon for the antivirus software, choose 'Open,' and then click the 'Scan' button in the main window. If the 'Scan' button doesn't appear in the main window of your antivirus software, click on the option labeled 'Virus and Spyware' protection and then click 'Scan.' When the scan finishes and the options appear in the window, choose the 'Delete' option to remove the files from the registry, and then restart the computer.
2. Go to the 'Start' menu, click 'All Programs,' 'Accessories' and 'Run.' Enter 'service.msc' into the box provided in the 'Run' window and press 'Enter.' The 'Services Management' window opens.
3. Right-click the 'dll' entry in the window. Click 'Stop' in the menu to stop the DLL services from running. Leave the 'Services Management' window open.
4. Return to the 'Start' menu and open the registry editor by typing 'regedit' into the search box in the menu, or by going to 'All Programs,' 'Accessories' and 'Run' again, then typing 'regedit' in the 'Run' box.
5. Navigate to the 'rusvdgpo' key in the registry. To get to the key, click the folder labeled 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE,' then 'SOFTWARE,' 'Microsoft,' 'Windows,' 'CurrentVersion' and 'Run.' Right-click 'rusvdgpo' where it appears in the right pane and select 'Modify' from the list. Remove all of the text next to 'Value' and click 'OK.'
6. Close the registry editor and return to the 'Services Management' window. Click on 'dll' and click 'Start' to restart the DLL service. Restart the computer. Windows automatically reinstalls any missing or corrupt DLL files to the system.
