How to Fix Ntoskrnl.exe

1. Insert the Microsoft Windows XP installation disk into the computer and restart it.
2. Press any key when prompted to boot from the CD.
3. Press 'R' when the Windows startup page loads. This will take you to the recovery console.
4. Select your operating system and then type in the code 'expand d:\i386\ntoskrnl.ex_C:Windows\System32'.
5. Hit the 'Y' key when prompted if you would like to overwrite the existing file. Hit 'Enter' and then type 'Exit'. Your computer will now reboot and the ntoskrnl.exe file will be fixed.
