How to Run Alien Vs. Predator on XP

Choppy or Slow Running Game
1. Navigate to your Alien Vs. Predator game folder in your computer. If you installed it with default settings, you should find it by going into your primary directory (defaulted to the 'C' drive), then into 'Program Files.' Locate the game folder then double-click to open it.
2. Navigate to the executable file called 'avp.exe' and right-click on it. At the drop-down menu, click on 'Rename.'
3. Rename the 'avp.exe' file to whatever name you wish. A typical suggestion would be to rename it 'avpgame.exe' to easily find it again. Once you've renamed the executable file, press 'Enter' to save the changes.

4. Download the 'binkw32.dll' file. The download link to this file is provided for you under the resources section.
5. Click on 'Save' then click on 'OK.' Wait until your file is downloaded, then unzip the contents of the file.
6. Drag-and-drop the downloaded copy of the dll file into your Alien Vs. Predator game folder. Click 'Yes' when prompted to replace an existing file.
