1. Run a free registry scan for your PC, because modifying Windows system components can leave damaged files in the registry (see Resources).
2. Click the 'Free Setup.dll Scan' button after clicking on the Resource noted in Step 1.
3. Complete the scan.
4. Go to the Free Download page for the installation of setup.dll (see Resources).
5. Click the 'Download setup.dll' link on that page and complete the download.
6. Open the .dll file you just downloaded.
7. Extract the .dll file onto any location on your computer, and select the option to overwrite any existing files.
8. Restart your computer.

How to Clean Dll Files

1. Download and install a free registry cleaner program such as CCleaner (see Reources). CCleaner is formulated to search for dll files in the registry.
2. Launch the program after it has installed and click the 'Registry' button on the left panel. Under 'Registry Integrity,' place a check on the 'Missing shared dlls' option. You can also place a check on all the other options under the 'Registry Integrity' to search for other problematic registry files.
3. Click 'Scan for issues.' CCleaner will scan the registry for unecessary dll files that have become corrupt or have been left over by uninstalled programs.
4. Click 'Fix selected issues' when the scan is complete and click 'Yes' to backup the registry. Type in a name for the backup and click 'Save.'
5. Click 'Fix all selected issues' when the backup is complete, and click 'OK' to clean and remove the dll files and other unnecessary registry components.
6. Close CCleaner to complete the process. Clean the registry at least once every week to remove unnecessary dll files that cause system errors.

1. Launch Internet Explorer. Click 'Tools' from the menu bar, then select 'Internet Options.' The 'Internet Options' window will appear.

1. Look for an information bar to appear at the top of the Internet desktop window when an enhanced application requires additional components to run properly.
2. Click on the information bar. It should display a drop-down menu that reads 'Install ActiveX Control.'

1. Right click the Windows 'Start' button in the task bar. Select 'Explore' to open a Windows Explorer screen, or 'Open Windows Explorer' in Windows 7.
