How to Find amp; Replace Missing Windows XP Files


1. Restart the computer with the Windows disc into the optical drive. Press any key to boot from the inserted disc.
2. Select your language and click “Enter” when the first Install Windows screen loads. Accept the license agreement. The setup will search for the currently installed Windows system.
3. Select your current Windows installation. Press “R” to begin the repair install. The setup will search for any missing files and other problems with the operating system. It will attempt to replace any important system files and correct any other detected errors. When it finishes loading the system files, the computer will reboot.
4. Remove the Windows XP CD. Your repaired XP installation will load.
