How to Replace Hal.dll from XP

1. Insert the XP CD into the computer.
2. Restart the computer. Press any key to boot from CD when prompted.
3. Press 'Enter' at the first welcome screen and 'F8' at the licensing terms.
4. Highlight the drive containing XP and press 'R,' reinstalling all Windows files, including the missing HAL.DLL file.
