How to Remove Shell32.Dll

Windows Vista and 7
1. Click on the 'Start' menu icon.
2. Type 'cmd' into the 'Search Programs and Files' box and press 'Enter.' The Command Prompt opens.
3. Type 'regsvr32 /u shell32.dll' (without the quotation marks) into the Command Prompt and press 'Enter.'
4. Click 'Yes' to confirm the removal.
5. Close the Command Prompt and restart your computer.
Windows XP
6. Click on the 'Start' menu icon and then click on 'Run.' The Run box opens.
7. Type 'cmd' into the Run box and click 'OK.' The Command Prompt opens.
8. Type 'regsvr32 /u shell32.dll' (without the quotation marks) into the Command Prompt and press 'Enter.'
9. Click 'Yes' to confirm the removal.
10. Close the Command Prompt.
