How to Remove Svchost.exe With Command Prompt in Windows Vista
1. Click the Windows 'Start' button on the computer. Type 'cmd' in the command text box and press 'Enter.' The Windows command line utility opens.
2. Type 'net stop svchost.exe' and press 'Enter.' You receive confirmation in the command prompt when the service stops.
3. Type 'net continue svchost.exe' and press 'Enter' to resume the service, if you decide to restart it.
