1. Go to one of the numerous Dynamic Link Library, or DLL, online libraries.
2. Click on the particular DLL that is named in the error message. For example, in the error message 'Cannot Load XPConfigSupport.dll,' the named DLL is 'XPConfigSupport.dll.'
3. Click 'Download' and download the DLL to your 'C:\Windows\System32' folder. If you are having trouble doing this, you can always download the DLL to your desktop and then drag the DLL into the 'C:\Windows\System32' folder. To locate the 'C:\Windows\System32' folder, type the name of the folder into the 'Search' box.
4. Click 'Start,' type 'cmd' into the Search box and press 'Enter.' The command prompt will open.
5. Type 'regsvr32 name.dll' into the command prompt and press 'Enter.' The 'name.dll' should be replaced with the name of the DLL that you downloaded. This command will register the DLL.
6. Close the command prompt and restart your computer.

1. Open 'Notepad.'
2. Click 'Format.' Make sure 'Word Wrap' is not selected or enabled.
3. Click 'Open' and then navigate to the folder 'C:\ProgramFiles\MicrosoftOffice2003\Files\Setup.' Scroll through the list of files and select 'PROJPRO.XML.'
4. Search the file for the section 'OCLNCORE.OPC_1033.' Once found, there will be a 'CATCHLEVEL=1' written next to it. Change the 1 to 3 so it reads 'CATCHLEVEL=3
5. Save the file. Make sure it is saved over the original file. This will override the error message 1309 and keep it from appearing.

1. Double-click the 'My Computer' icon and navigate to the system folder for your version of Windows. If you're using a 32-bit version of Windows XP or Vista, you can find this folder at 'C:\Windows\System32.' Updating Windows
1. Click the 'Start' button in Windows, expand the 'All Programs' folder and click the 'Windows Update' icon. Microsoft Internet Explorer will launch; let the page load.
2. Click the 'Express Install' button and wait while Windows searches for updates for your computer.
3. Click the 'Install Updates' button if Windows finds important updates for your machine. The download and installation process may take just a few minutes or more than an hour, depending on your connection speed and which updates were found.
4. Reboot your computer when prompted at the end of the update installation process.
5. Try to replicate the problems you were having with advpack.dll. If problems persist, go to the next section.
Restoring Windows
6. Click the 'Start' button again, expand 'All Programs,' expand 'Accessories' and then expand 'System Tools.' Click the 'System Restore' icon.

10. Wait as your computer restores and then reboots. When it starts up again, click 'OK' on the confirmation dialog box that says the restoration was a success.
11. Try to replicate the problem again. If you're still having trouble, proceed to the final section.
Replacing advpack.dll
12. Open your Web browser. Navigate to a site where you can download advpack.dll for free. There are several sites that offer common Windows Dynamic Link Library files for free download, but you can find a direct link to one in the Resources section.
13. Click the download link and save the file to your computer. When it saves, double-click it to open it in the program your computer uses for .zip files. Unzip the advpack.dll file to your computer's desktop.
14. Double-click the 'My Computer' icon; then double-click the 'C:' icon. If you're using Windows 2000 or NT, double-click the 'WINNT' folder; otherwise, double-click the 'Windows' folder. Finally, double-click the System folder, which is 'System32' in Windows 2000, NT and 32-bit XP and Vista. In Windows 95, 98 and Me, it's 'System,' and in 64-bit Windows XP and Vista, it's 'SysWOW64.'
15. Drag the advpack.dll file you extracted to the desktop into the system folder. If you're asked whether or not you would like to replace the original file, click 'Yes.'
16. Reboot your computer so that Windows will load and recognize the new version of the file. If your file was corrupted or missing, this should correct the issue.

How to Fix a Corrupted File Structure
1. Click 'Start' at the bottom left corner of your screen, then open 'My Computer.' Chose the hard drive you wish to scan for file-structure problems--usually drive C, but it could be any other drive. Once you have selected the drive, right click to open a menu and click the 'Properties' option, the last item on the list. The drive's properties box will open.
2. Select the Tools tab at the top. Under the 'Error-checking' section click 'Check Now....' This will open a small settings box. Click in each of the two white squares to add check marks, then click 'Start.' Click 'Yes' on the box that appears. Your computer is now set to check the file system for errors at the next restart, and if any are found Windows will attempt to fix them.
3. Restart your computer by clicking 'Start,' 'Turn Off Computer' and 'Restart'. During the restart process you will notice the Check Disk application preforming a scan of the file system. If any errors are found the report displayed on the screen will say so. Any errors the Check Disk cannot fix will also be displayed on the screen.

Installation Error 5 in Spybot


Uninstall previous versions of Spybot
1. Press the 'Windows' and 'R' keys simultaneously to open a Run box.
2. Type 'Appwiz.cpl' into your Run box and press the 'Enter' key. This opens the Windows Add\Remove Programs component. The programs are listed in alphabetical order.
3. Right-click 'Spybot Search and Destroy' and click 'Uninstall.' Click the 'Yes' button on the 'Are you sure you want to uninstall?' dialog screen.
4. Shutdown your computer.
Boot in Safe Mode and Install
5. Turn on your computer and continually press the 'F8' key on your keyboard as it boots. This will load the Windows Startup Options screen.
6. Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to select 'Safe Mode' and press the 'Enter' key. Windows will launch in safe mode.
7. Right-click the Spybot installation file and select 'Run as administrator.' Follow the prompts to install and then reboot your computer.

How do I Fix iExplore amp; Runtime Errors?


1. Press the 'Windows' and 'R' keys on your keyboard simultaneously to open the 'Run' program on your computer.
2. Type 'inetcpl.cpl' and then click 'Run' to open the Internet Explorer 'Internet Properties' window on your computer. This will work, even if Internet Explorer is having a runtime error.

How to Register MSCOMCTL.OCX


1. Download the MSCOMCTL.OCX file if you do not have it (see Resources).
2. Open the downloaded file and extract it using your preferred archive management program. Place it in the 'C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32' folder.
3. Click Start and select 'Run' if you are using Windows 2003 or XP. For Windows Vista and later, click in the text input bar on the Start menu.
4. Enter the text 'REGSVR32 MSCOMCTL.OCX'.
5. Click 'Yes' if you are requested to give 'REGSVR32.EXE' administrative rights. You have now registered MSCOMCTL.OCX with the system.

11. Click the 'Start' button. Close the Services configuration panel.

How to Repair a Missing Es.dll File in Internet Explorer


1. Download the missing es.dll file. Locate websites that offer the file or use the site listed in the resource section.
2. Install the corrupt or missing es.dll file in the proper folder on the computer.
