Ie8 ActiveX Controls Won#039;t Install


1. Launch Internet Explorer by double-clicking its icon on your desktop. You can also access it by clicking on the 'Start' menu. If you do not see it listed as one of the 'default' programs above 'Start', then you will need to click on 'All Programs' and 'Internet Explorer.'
2. Click the 'Tools' drop-down menu in Internet Explorer, then click 'Internet Options' inside the drop-down menu.
3. Click the 'Security' tab at the top of the 'Internet Options' pop-up menu.
4. Click the 'Internet' icon, then click 'Custom Level' in the security tab menu.
5. Scroll down in the 'Security Settings' pop-up dialog menu to 'Internet ActiveX Controls and Plugins' and click the 'Enable' button next to 'Run ActiveX Controls and Plugins' and 'Script ActiveX Controls Marked Safe for Scripting.'
6. Click 'OK' to save the changes made to the security settings.
7. Click 'OK' to exit the 'Internet Options' dialog box.
8. Close Internet Explorer by clicking the red 'X' in the upper-right corner of your screen. Reopen Internet Explorer for the changes to take effect.
