How to Use a DLL in Microsoft Access 2003

Determine Current Version of JET
1. Click the 'Start' button and then select the 'Search' option.
2. Select the 'All files and folders' option under the 'Search Companion' on the left panel.
3. Type 'MsJet40.dll' into the text field under 'All or part of the file name.'
4. Right-click the MSJet40.dll file when the list of files appears. Select the 'Properties' option from the context menu.
5. Click the 'Version' tab to find the version number.

6. Determine which service pack download is needed based on your operating system. JET4.0 Service Pack 8 (SP8) is available for Windows Server 2003, Windows XP and Windows 2000.
7. Click the 'Download' button on the Microsoft Download Center page.
8. Click the 'Save File' button when the download box appears on the screen.
9. Select a location on your system to save the file such as your desktop or the Local Disk (C:).
10. Double-click the downloaded file to install the latest Jet 4.0 Service Pack.
