How to Replace a System 32 Folder

1. Open the program that causes the error. When the error message appears, note the name of the DLL file that is missing. The error message should read 'This application has failed to start because X.dll is missing,' with 'X' being the DLL file name. Press 'OK' to close the error window.
2. Open your Internet browser and navigate to dll-files.com. Type the name of the missing file into the search box. Follow the onscreen instructions to download the file, which will be in an archived format. Use a .zip extractor to extract the DLL file to your desktop.
3. Click 'Start' and select 'My Computer.' Navigate to the hard drive that your operating system is installed on. Double-click the 'Windows' folder, then the 'System32' folder.
4. Click and drag the DLL file from the desktop to the 'System32' folder. Restart your computer. Attempt to open the program that was causing the error. It should now run as normal.
