How to Replace a Corrupt Winsock in Windows Vista


Method 1
1. Click 'Start' and 'Network.'
2. Click 'Network and Sharing Center.'
3. Click 'Diagnose and Repair.' This process will find problems with Winsock and replace or repair Winsock.
Method 2
4. Click 'Start' and type 'cmd' in the search box and press 'Enter.' This opens the command prompt.
5. Type the following command at the prompt: netsh winsock. Press 'Enter.' This command will find problems with Winsock and replace or repair the program.
6. Type 'Exit' and press 'Enter' to close the command prompt.
