How to Troubleshoot a Kodak C875 to Repair the Flash

1. Check that the batteries are properly installed and fully charged. The battery compartment is located on the bottom right side of the camera. The Kodak C875 is compatible with CRV3 lithium battery packs or two AA lithium or Ni-Mn batteries. The positive side of the outer battery faces up while the positive end of the inner battery faces down.
2. Press the flash button on top of the camera to activate one of the flash modes. The flash button has a lightening bolt symbol next to it.
3. Change the shooting mode to something other than 'Night Landscape' or 'Fireworks' using the mode dial on the top of the camera if the flash will not fire in 'Night Landscape' or 'Fireworks' mode.
4. Wait for the green indicator to light up on the back of the camera before taking the next picture. The flash will not fire until the green light turns on.
