How to Repair a Hal.dll Error


1. Click the Windows logo in the lower corner of the desktop.
2. Type 'System32' in the 'Start Search' dialog box. Press 'Enter.'
3. Download the hal.dll file to the desktop.
4. Drag the hal.dll file to the System32 folder. When a message appears asking you if you are sure you want to replace hal.dll, click 'Yes' or 'Continue.' Exit Windows Explorer.
5. Press the 'Windows' button. Type 'regsvr32 HAL.DLL' in the 'Start Search' field. Press 'Enter' to update the file.
6. Reboot your computer system.
