How to Register OCX


1. Double-click on the 'My Computer' icon on your desktop. Browse to the location of the OCX file that you want to register.
2. Right-click on the OCX file while holding down the 'Shift' key. Select 'Open With' from the pop-up menu. Click the 'Select the Program from a list' button in the 'Open With' dialog box.
3. Choose the 'Browse' option. Navigate to the 'C:\Windows\system32' directory. Select the file named 'RegSvr32.exe' and click the 'Open' button. Choose 'OK' in the 'Open With' dialog box.
4. Ensure that the OCX file was successfully registered; a message should appear to confirm the registration.

1. Visit the Microsoft Visual Basic 6 website (see Resources).
2. Choose your operating system's main language from the drop-down menu. Click 'Change' if this lanugage is other than English.
3. Click 'Download' and choose 'Save to Disk...' Save this file somewhere you can easily access it, such as the Desktop.
4. Double-click the .exe file that has been saved to your desktop. This will launch the Visual Basic repair and install program.
5. Accept the Terms of Use agreement and complete the installation.
6. Click 'Finished' once the installation is complete. You should now be able to run programs that use Msvbvm60.dll without issue.

How to Fix Rundll32.Exe for Free


1. Boot up Windows in “Safe Mode” by repeatedly pressing the "F8" button on your keyboard while Windows is loading up. The “Advanced Options” menu will open. Select the "Safe Mode No Networking" option, then press the "Enter" key.
2. Open and run your antivirus program by double-clicking on the program’s desktop icon. Click the “Full Scan” button to scan all of your files, folders and programs on your hard drive for malicious software. If any malicious software is detected, delete them and reboot your computer.
3. Insert the Windows system CD into your computer after Windows has begun.
4. Replace or copy over your old “rundll32.exe file.” Click the Windows desktop “Start” button and click the "Run" icon to begin, and open the “Run” prompt.
5. Type the following (without quotes) into the “Run” text field box:"expand (place the letter of your CD drive here):\i386\rundll32.ex_ c:\windows\system32\rundll32.exe"Click the "OK" button. This installs the original rundll32.exe file from your Windows CD. Afterwards, reboot your computer system.

How to Extract Kernel32.Dll


1. Insert the Windows CD-ROM into your computer and a startup diskette into your computer's floppy drive.
2. Choose the 'Start Computer With CD-ROM Support' option from the startup menu provided by the boot disk.
3. Input the command 'extract /a d:\windows\cabs\base4.cab kernel32.dll /l c:\windows\system' at the command prompt, where 'd:' is the drive letter of your CD drive and 'c:' is the letter of your hard drive. Substitute 'base2.cab' for 'base4.cab' if you are using Windows ME.
