How to Fix Flash Errors

1. Identify the nature of the problem. Does the Flash error show up as a clearly defined error message on the webpage or in a pop-up window? The solution to a Flash error may depend on the error presented. Some are a clear message to upgrade or install the plug-in. Other errors are confusing and suggest a more rigorous course of action.
2. Upgrade to the most recent Flash plug-in if the error indicates an outdated version. This is the most common Flash error and most easily resolved. Visit the Adobe Flash web site to quickly download and install the Flash plug-in. The process is streamlined to be as efficient as possible.
3. Uninstall the Flash Player plug-in to remove corrupt components that may interfere from proper function. Many Flash errors are cryptic and do not point to a specific problem but are nonetheless due to Flash components that no longer work. To complete uninstallation, download the Adobe Flash Player uninstaller, close all programs, and run the application.
4. Install a fresh copy of the most recent Flash plug-in version. This is available from the Adobe Flash web site. This process is the same as upgrading an existing installation of Flash.
5. Ignore sites that still do not function properly with Flash if most other sites work correctly. Flash design is a complicated process, and some Flash problems are due to poor programming. These problems cannot be fixed on your end.
