How to Restore System 32 Files

1. Boot up your computer normally and log in with the administrator user account. This login information varies from computer to computer. If you don't know your administrator login information, contact the computer manufacturer or the person who set up your computer.
2. Insert your Windows installation disc into your computer's drive and wait for it to be recognized. Close any pop-ups that appear.
3. Open a command prompt by clicking 'Start,' opening 'All Programs,' clicking 'Accessories' and selecting 'Command Prompt.'
4. Type 'sfc /scannow' (without quote marks) into the command prompt. Then press the 'Enter' key on your keyboard. The computer automatically scans the system files and replaces any that are corrupted or missing with working copies from your disc.
5. Restart your computer once the scanning process finishes.
