How to Fix a DTS Error on a Computer

1. Go to a website that provides DTS file repair tools. Fixanyfile.com, file-extensions.org and filext.com are three websites that will scan and repair your DTS files for errors.
2. Click 'Download DTS File Repair Tool.' This will download the program onto your computer.
3. Click 'Run' when a window pops up asking you what you would like to do with the file you've just downloaded.
4. Double-click on the program desktop if it has been saved on your computer. You can also locate the program by clicking 'Start' and 'Programs.' Type in the name of the program and double-click it from the list of programs.
5. Click 'Scan.' The program will scan your computer's files to diagnose your computer's programs. This scan will also make sure your have the correct file openers installed on your computer.
6. Click 'Repair' when the scan is complete.
7. Click 'Start' and 'Restart' to reboot your computer.
