How to Reinstall Winsock.Dll on Windows XP

1. Insert the Windows XP installation CD into the computer.
2. Restart the PC. Press any key as prompted to boot from CD drive.
3. Press 'Enter' at the welcome screen, and 'F8' to agree to the license terms.
4. Highlight the drive containing Windows XP. Press 'R' to repair the installation, copying fresh versions of all DLL files, including Winsock.DLL.
