How to Fix Problems with Internet Explorer 8 with Vista


1. Click the 'Tools' menu located on the top of your IE8 browser and click 'Internet Options.'
2. Click the 'Advanced' tab and click 'Reset.' Click 'Reset' again in the 'Reset Internet Explorer Settings' box. When the reset process completes, restart your web browser.
3. Uninstall Internet Explorer 8 and reinstall a fresh copy if you are still having problems. To do so, click the Windows 'Start' menu on the desktop and click the 'Control Panel.'
4. Click 'Programs' and click 'Program and Features.' Click 'View installed updates.' Click 'Internet Explorer 8' and click 'Uninstall.' When the un-installation process completes, restart your computer.
5. Go to the Internet Explorer download page to download a fresh copy of the web browser (see 'Resources'). Click 'Download Now'
6. Select your country/region and select 'Windows Vista.' Click 'Download' and click 'Run' to launch the installation wizard. Follow the guided prompts to reinstall the browser. When prompted, restart your computer.
