How to Fix Runtime Error 53

1. Open the 'Start' menu by clicking on the desktop window's 'Start' button. Click on 'Control Panel.'
2. Find and double-click the CD icon by the 'Programs and Features' option under the 'Control Panel.' A programs list will appear.
3. Browse through the list and find the program that spawned the 'Runtime Error 53' message. Click on this program and click on the 'Uninstall' button located on the top of the 'Programs and Features' window.
4. Follow the steps in the program's uninstall wizard to fully uninstall the program from your computer system. Reboot your computer and the 'Runtime Error 53' error should be gone.
5. Insert the uninstalled program's installation disc into your computer's CD/DVD drive.
