How to Troubleshoot Error 1406 Could Not Write Value Inprocserver32


1. Remove all previous versions of Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat and then reinstall the product. Navigate to 'Control Panel' from the Start menu and select 'Programs.' Next, select 'Programs And Features.' Choose the Adobe product and select 'Uninstall.' Reboot your computer after the uninstall. Navigate to Adobe Website (see Resources) and reinstall the product.
2. Remove any malware that may have entered your computer. Click the Start menu and select 'Run...' Type 'MRT' without the quotes and press the 'Enter' key. This will launch the 'Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool.' Click 'Next' when you see the welcome screen. Choose 'Full Scan.' Follow prompts to remove any malware. Reboot your computer.
3. Update Windows. Click the Start menu and select 'All Programs.' Click 'Windows Update.' Click 'Check for updates...'
