How to Uninstall McAfee Because of a Common User Interface


1. Click the 'Start' button or Windows logo in the bottom left corner of the desktop.
2. Click 'Control Panel' and open 'Add/Remove Programs' or 'Uninstall a Program.'
3. Select the McAfee product under the list of installed software tools. Click 'Uninstall' or 'Remove.' Click 'Continue' if the 'User Account Control' prompt appears. Follow the onscreen prompts to finish the removal of the application. Reboot your computer.
4. Install and save the MCPR.exe tool to the desktop (see Resources). Double-click the tool and allow it to run.
5. Reboot your computer system after the 'Cleanup Successful' message appears. Repeat Steps 1 to 2 to ensure that the McAfee product is no longer on your system.
