How to Install ActiveX Control Required to View Website


1. Click the Windows 'Start' button and click the 'Control Panel.' Double-click 'Internet Options' to open the console.
2. Click the 'Security' tab and click the 'Internet' icon on the zone window if it is not automatically selected by default.
3. Click the 'Custom level' button to launch the security settings window. Scroll down and click the 'Prompt' radio button next to 'Download signed ActiveX controls.' Select the 'Enabled' radio button next to 'Run ActiveX controls and plugins.'
4. Click 'OK' to save the changes and 'OK' again to close the Internet Properties console. This step prompts you to download ActiveX controls needed to run certain websites.
5. Close and relaunch your web browser. Right-click the 'This site might require the following ActiveX control' bar displayed by a website that wants to run the ActiveX control. Click 'Install ActiveX control on the pop-up menu. The ActiveX control is installed automatically.
