How to Identify Winlogon amp; Wlnotify.Dll


1. Right-click the Windows 'Start' button, and click 'Open Explorer,' then Windows Explorer opens.
2. Click the 'Tools' option on the top navigation bar, then click 'Folder Options.'
3. Check the checkbox in front of 'Show Hidden Files or Folders.' System files are now visible in Windows Explorer, and in search results.
4. Uncheck the checkbox in front of 'Hide protected operating system files (Recommended).'
5. Uncheck the checkbox in front of the 'Hide extensions for known file types,' and click 'OK.'
6. Click the Windows 'Start' button, and type 'winlogon' (without quotes) into the Search input box, then press the 'Enter' key. All Winlogon files list in the search results.
7. Type 'Winotify.dll' (without quotes) into the Search input box, and press the 'Enter' key. The file lists first in the search results.
