How to Delete Flash 6 OCX

1. Click on the “Start” button located in the bottom-left corner of your desktop.
2. Click on the “Search” icon found in the \"Start\" menu and enter \"flash.ocx\". Write down the path name as you will need it later.
3. Click on the “Start” button and then click on “Run.”
4. Type in: “regsvr32 path name/file name/u\". Regsvr32 is the command that tells your computer to remove it from the registry. The path name tells your computer where the files is located. For example: “C:\\Windows\\System32\\MacromedFlash\\flash.ocx” is the most common pathway, but it may differ slightly on each computer. The file name is flash.ocx. You will be asked to confirm the registry removal; select \"Yes\" from the available options.
5. Click on the \"Search\" icon found in the \"Start\" menu and enter the file named \"enterflash.ocx\" and select it from the list. Highlight \"enterflash.ocx\" and press the \"Delete\" key. Select \"Yes\" when prompted to confirm moving it to the \"Recycle Bin.\" Repeat this same process for a file named swflash.inf.
6. Double-click on the \"Recycle Bin\" found on your desktop. Click on the \"File\" tab and \"Empty Recycle Bin\" to complete the operation.
