How to Register Mscomctl.OCX in Vista

1. Click on the 'Windows Logo' orb to open the 'Start' menu. Enter 'MSCOMCTL.OCX' into the 'Start Search' box and press 'Enter.' Locate the file on your hard drive if it exists. Download a replacement copy if you do not find the file on your hard drive.
2. Copy the MSCOMCTL.OCX file into the 'C:\Windows\System32' folder on your computer.
3. Open the 'Start' menu. Select 'All Programs'>'Accessories.' Right-click on the 'Command Prompt' option and select 'Run as Administrator' from the menu.
4. Enter the command 'Regsvr32 MSCOMCTL.OCX' (without quotations) at the command prompt. Press the 'Enter' key to register the file.
