How to Clean Out Your Computer for Free

1. Download AVG Antivirus at free.avg.com and install.
2. Launch your program after it has installed and click 'Computer Scanner' on the left tab. Click 'Change Scan Settings' under 'Scan Whole Computer.'
3. Place a check on each of the options in the settings window and click 'Scan' to track viruses, worms, trojans, tracking cookies, and other malicious parasites.
4. Click 'Warnings' tab when the scan is complete and click 'Remove Selected Infections.' Click the 'Infections' tab and click all the files in this tab. Click 'Remove Selected Infections.' Close AVG.
5. Download CCleaner at ccleaner.com and install.
6. Launch your program after it has installed and click the 'Registry' button on the left panel. Click 'Scan for Issues.' CCleaner will scan the registry for errors, missing dll files, and left over values from uninstalled programs.
7. Click 'Fix Selected Issues' when the scan is complete and click 'Yes' to backup and save the registry. Click 'Fix All Selected Issues' and click 'OK' to remove the left over values and repair missing files and registry errors.
