How to Fix the Adware MyWebSearch Trojan


Unregister DLLs
1. Go to the 'Start' menu, click 'Run,' type 'cmd' in the search field and press 'Enter' to launch the command line window.
2. Type 'regsvr32 /u p4psrchas.dll' in the command line window and press 'Enter' to unregister the DLL.
3. Repeat Step 2 for 'f3wphook.dll,' 'mgsbar.dll' and 'mwsbar.dll.'
4. Close the command-line window.
Remove Registry Entries
5. Go to the 'Start' menu, click 'Run,' type 'regedit' in the search field and click 'OK' to start the Registry Editor.
6. Browse to and delete the following registry entries:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerBrowser HelperObjects{07B18EA1-A523-4961-B6BB-170DE4475CCA}HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftInternet ExplorerToolbar{07B18EA9-A523-4961-B6BB-170DE4475CCA}HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftInternet ExplorerToolbar{37B85A29-692B-4205-9CAD-2626E4993404}RUNNING PROGRAM\explorer.exeHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser HelperObjects\{07B18EA1-A523-4961-B6BB-170DE4475CCA}HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar\{07B18EA9-A523-4961-B6BB-170DE4475CCA}HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar\{37B85A29-692B-4205-9CAD-2626E4993404}
7. Close the Registry Editor.
Delete Files
8. Go to the 'Start' menu, click 'Search,' click 'All Files and Folders' and select drive C from the drop-down menu.
9. Type 'p4srchas.dll' in the search box and press 'Enter.' Delete all search results.
10. Repeat Step 2 for 'f3wphook.dll,' 'mgsbar.dll' and 'mwsbar.dll.'
11. Restart your computer.
