How to Change Dll Files

Download and Install .dll Files Manually
1. Open your Web browser and navigate to a site where you can download numerous common .dll files for free. There are several of these sites, and you can find links to two of them in the Resources section below.
2. Search within the .dll sites for the specific .dll file or files you want to change. Not all files will be listed, and .dll files that affect only a few pieces of software tend to be harder to find than those that affect Windows.
3. Download the .dll files you want to change. Note where on your computer the files are being downloaded to.
4. Double-click the 'My Computer' icon and navigate to the system folder for your version of Windows. In Windows XP and Vista for 32-bit computers, the system folder is 'C:\Windows\System32.' In Windows XP and Vista for 64-bit computers, it's 'C:\Windows\SysWOW64.' In Windows NT and 2000, it's 'C:\WINNT\System32.' Finally, in Windows 95, 98 and ME, it's 'C:\Windows\System.'
5. Click and drag the .dll files you downloaded from their download location to the system folder. Windows may prompt you about each file, asking you if you would like to replace the original file with the new one. Click 'Yes' or 'Yes to all.'
6. Restart Windows. The new .dll files are registered into the Windows file system automatically on startup, and begin working immediately after that.
Reverting .dll Files With System Restore
7. Click the 'Start' button in Windows and expand the 'All Programs' folder. Then expand the 'Accessories' folder, and then the 'System Tools' folder. Click 'System Restore.'
8. Click 'Restore my computer to an earlier time,' then click the 'Next' button.
9. Click a restore point on the calendar that appears. Restore points are represented by bold dates. If you recently began experiencing problems or seeing error messages relating to .dll files, choose a restore point from just before you started noticing the problems. Whatever date you choose, Windows will revert the version and status of all of your computer's .dll files to the way they were on that date. After you click a restore point, click the 'Next' button.
10. Review the chosen restore point and settings on the confirmation screen, then click the 'Next' or 'Finish' button. Windows will automatically restore itself and then restart.
11. Click the 'OK' button on the confirmation screen that appears after your computer boots up again. This completes the system restore process.

How to Use BufferedInputStream in Java

1. Open a new Java class file. If you are using a Java Integrated Development Environment (IDE) like Netbeans, then you should be able to do this by clicking \"File,\" and \"New Class.\" Otherwise, just open a copy of your favorite text editor, such as Notepad, and click \"File,\" then \"Save as.\" Name the file \"BufferedExample.java.\" Paste the following code into your new file to import the BufferedInputStream from the Java IO library: <br /><br />import java.io.BufferedInputStream;
2. Paste the following to create an outline for your Java program. If you are using an IDE like Netbeans, this may have been done automatically for you. If so, skip to <br />Step 3.<br /><br />public class BufferedExample {<br /><br /> public static void main(String[] args) {<br /> <br /> }<br /><br />}
3. Paste the following code inside the \"public static void main\" method of your class skeleton. <br /><br /> BufferedInputStream in = new BufferedInputStream(System.in)<br />GO<br /> // Mark this spot in the stream to come back to later. <br /> // The 1024 specifies that the buffer will hold 1024 bytes of data.<br /> // Should more data than this be read, the bookmark will become invalid.<br /> in.mark(1024)<br />GO<br /> try {<br /> int x = in.read()<br />GO<br /> // Print out the ASCII keycode for the character typed. For example, 'a' is 97.<br /> System.out.println(x)<br />GO<br /> // Return to the spot marked a few lines ago.<br /> in.reset()<br />GO<br /> // This will read and print the same value again.<br /> int y = in.read()<br />GO<br /> System.out.println(y)<br />GO<br /><br /> } catch (Exception e) {<br /> System.out.println(\"Error\")<br />GO<br /> }<br /><br />This code creates a new BufferedInputStream from the \"System.in\" value, which is set to the user's keyboard by default, allowing her to type in data for the program. It immediately marks the beginning of the stream. It then reads one character from the keyboard and stores it as an integer of its American Standard for Code Information Interchange (ASCII) keycode. BufferedInputStream always returns a collection of integers between 0 and 255, or bytes. How to interpret these bytes is left to you as a programmer. After it has read and printed out what it received, it returns to its bookmark, reads, and prints again.

How to Make My Own Visual Basic Command Buttons

Creating a Command Button Image
1. Load up your favorite image editor and create a box shape. Select the box icon and drag and extend the box tool until you create a rectangle.
2. Insert whatever text you feel completely describes the button's nature. Select the text tool icon and select an area with the mouse in which you wish to outlay text. Type the text you wish into the text box.
3. Create three instances of this button image. One of the instances must be when the button is not pressed down and is selectable. Another instance is called the down state, and this image shows when the button has been pressed or clicked on. The last instance is the disabled instance and only occurs when this button is visible but not selectable or click-able. To create these instances just create a different image file for each button graphic.
4. Edit the graphic slightly for each instance and save each graphic separately. 'Button,' 'down button' and 'disabled button' are three potential names for the image files. After you're finished creating imaging, you should have a total of three image files: one for the regular display, one for when the button is held down and one for when the button is disabled.
Adding the Command Button to Visual Basic
5. Load up Microsoft Visual Basic and then right-click the form in the navigation panel and go to Design View.

How to Uninstall the About:Blank Adware HomePage Hijacker

1. Download Reglite from the Internet (See "Resources" below). Reglite.exe is a pretty effective registry program, which was developed to find hidden dll files.
2. Open the downloaded Reglite file and navigate to an entry called HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows.
3. Next, look for the key called AppInit_DLLs. Write down the value of this key: It is the hidden DLL file that causes the About:Blank error.
4. Use XP's Windows Recovery Console to rename the file. Restart your computer, booting it from the Windows XP CD. When you reach the Recovery Console, type in cd \windows\system32. Press 'Enter.'
5. Remove the read-only attribute and replace hidden.dll with the name of the DLL file you found with RegLite. You can do this by typing attrib -r hidden.dll. Rename the hidden.dll file by typing rename hidden.dll badfile.dll. Then type 'Exit' and hit 'Enter' to reboot Windows.
6. You will then need to remove the hidden.dll file by opening RegLite. Navigate to the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\AppInit_DLLs. Double-click the AppInit_DLLs key and delete the DLL file found in the Value Data field.
7. Click 'Apply,' then 'OK.' Exit RegLite.
8. Download HijackThis from the Internet (See "Resources" below). It was developed to detect and remove homepage-hijackers.
9. Open and run HijackThis. It will scan the registry and display a list of entries that may have been altered by spyware. Among these, locate a DLL file called 'xaiyh.dll' This is the second file causing the problem. Write it down for future reference.
10. Now you need to open My Computer. Click 'ToolsèFolder Options.' Click the 'View' tab, then click 'Show Hidden Files and Folders' under the Advanced Settings section.
11. Click 'Start' and then 'Search.' Type in the name of the hidden DLL file you found with RegEdit. Remember how the file was renamed as badfile.dll with the procedure we used earlier? Search for it and delete it. Do the same thing for the DLL file you found using HijackThis. After following these steps, you should have completely removed the About:Blank hijacker.
