How to Delete a Registered Dll Download


Unregistering a Registered .dll File
1. Log on to your computer using an administrative account.
2. Open the DOS command window. Click 'Start,' and select 'run.' Type 'cmd' in the command bar, then press 'Enter' on your keyboard or click 'OK' on the screen.
3. Unregister the .dll file you would like to delete. Type 'regsvr32-u FileName.dll' in the command prompt. When you type the file name, make sure you type the full path. For example, 'C:\Program Files\Common Files\...\FileName.dll.' You should receive a confirmation message if you did successfully unregister the file.

4. Open Windows Explorer. Click 'Start,' select 'Accessories,' click 'Windows Explorer.'
5. Browse to find the .dll file you would like to delete.
6. Highlight (by clicking on) the unwanted .dll file and press 'delete' on your keyboard; or click 'File,' select 'Folder Tasks,' and click 'Delete this File.'
Try This If the .dll File Still Can't Be Deleted
7. Reboot your computer in 'safe mode.' Turn your computer off. Wait 30 seconds, then restart your computer. If you're using Window 95 or 98, begin pressing the 'F8' key on your keyboard right after the post diagnostics and memory count is completed during booting. If you're using Windows 2000, begin pressing the 'F8' key when you see the black-and-white 'Starting Windows' bar at the bottom of the screen. If you're using Windows XP, begin pressing the 'F8' key upon restart.
8. Browse to find the .dll file you would like to delete.
9. Click the unwanted .dll file and press 'delete' on your keyboard.
