How to Turn Off the Status Bar in IE 7

1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Click 'View' in the top menu. If you cannot see 'View,' press 'Alt' to display the menu bar.
3. Move your mouse pointer over 'Toolbars' and uncheck 'Status Bar' to hide the status bar.
